The "F" word followed by the "B" word

~~~~~Finances~~~~~~
Yuck what a word, it consumes way to much of my daily life and it will be consuming way more in the next few months, as I am reading and researching and learning what to do and more importantly what not to do!
And what about the awful "B" word, do you know anyone that uses that word often? Not in this house however, it is going to be our new favorite word.
~~~~~Budget~~~~~~

I am going to hate oops, I mean love this word. Budgeting is hard, it means no more goodwill, flea-market, Target, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Etsy, you know all the fun stuff. It means no more Chipolte, Cheesecake Factory, Movie Theatre, ughhhhhh....this is getting harder and harder as I write. It just means I have to change some things around for a bit. It will be hard and it will not be ideal however, the reward in the end will be so worth it. To live a debt free/less stressful life is my goal. It is an important lesson that I need my children to learn and I guess when you make the decision to have children you make the decision to be more responsible, more of an example and oh am I trying to be just that!

Valentine's DIY Goo ( I heart Goo)

You will need a plastic cup
Borax, a mold
Glue (clear or regular)
Food Coloring (We choose red & blue with the clear glue)
Add about a half of regular size bottle of glue to your cup
Add 2 tbsp. water to glue
Add your food coloring enough to make the color you want (for red it takes almost half a bottle)
Stir...then in a cleaned out two liter mix 1/4c. borax with half 2 liter of water shake it up
Use a new plastic spoon and poor in about 2 capfuls of borax mixture to glue mixture, it will instantly become lumpy. Continue stirring and adding a little more borax mixture at a time until it is a good goo texture.
Should look like this, you can put in tubberware and play with over and over or put in a mold to take a shape then transfer to plastic wrap or tubberware or it will dry out
We choose these adorable hearts for Valentine's
Of course we wanted to put ours in these adorable vintage boxes
This is what the clear glue looks like with blue food coloring
Adorable packing from Hobby Lobby
We thought I <3 goo instead of you would be sweet!

SOMETIMES~~~~~

SOMETIMES/////

It's hard for me to keep my mouth shut

I'm reminded of how much I love photography every time I look at my wrist

I feel self-conscious when asked about politics.

I am mildly dishonest when I make my children pay separately then me at Hobby Lobby (two coupons)

I can't imagine a world without God & my Family among much more.

I'm surprised that I still miss Atlanta

I get a little too easily wrapped up in Pintrest/Etsy/Craftgawker

I indulge in guilty pleasures like dark chocolate & Teen Mom

I wish all things in life were as wonderful as the way an animal loves you unconditionally.

Sleep Over - Your Invited

Having a friend over is now a must (so Avery tells me) ~~ you know someone to do all those fun girly things with like making goo, taking a bubble-jet bath, face masks & doing nails!! It makes me think about my age and wondering why at a certain age we stop doing those fun girlfriend things...I am going to make it my mission to send the Hubby out of the house and have those fun girly nights with some friends and just pretend we are middle schoolers again laughing about nothing. Are ya in?????? If your not tempted yet, check out Av with one of her best friends enjoying being a girl <3

Project 24 theme # 3 Simplicity

Alrighty then....I find nothing more simple than my boots on the back deck. They are my favorite pair of boots and have taken me places only these boots could. These boots were crawfish huntin, fishin, four-wheelin, bmx dirtin & snow playin.They are my boots and I'm lovin them, they get me through those last minute runnin late emergencies where I hear the bus at the end of the lane and my shoes are no where to be found. They are my cheap, leopard lovin, puddle jumpin favorites!! Hope you enjoy my post editing and after pictures!

Project 24- Don't ask me twice

I apologize in advance for my corkiness, for my obsession with enjoying anything to do with photography. If some of you are tired of looking at my pictures, I apologize...however, it's not enough to make me stop taking more and its not enough to make me stop sharing. A passion is a passion and there is no on and off switch.  As for me, I am in knees deep and look forward to a challenge like this so be prepared as I endure this challenge. For those of you who don't mind my obnoxious love of pictures thanks for all the kind & inspiring words it truly means so much!

With the New Year, comes change for me, I will now become a full-time worker again. It is a bittersweet blessing if I can say those two words together. I enjoyed my days off tremendously however, getting out of debt completely in this unstable economy we live in is my priority. I prayed and prayed and searched high and low for a job and was blessed with a wonderful opportunity to work close to home and work around my kids schedules. So for the New Year, that is my resolution to get completely out of debt and live a life free of the plastic that has held us hostage for way to long.

Happy New Year's to each and everyone of you, may you bless others and be blessed as well! Here's to 2012!!!!
